Support families of
all types “where they are” - physically, mentally, and emotionally - including foster, adoptive, kinship, and grandfamilies
Provide
community-based opportunities for parent/caregiver education, parenting classes, and supports
Working with the
Family Support Center Director and/or Case Manager, meet with parents for initial assessment & ongoing referral to formal and informal community resources to enhance family function
Empower families
through education and support to enable them to take the lead role in planning for and responding to their family's needs
Enhance parent's
capacity by supporting them to build their protective factors and coping mechanisms
Work with families
already involved with the Court/CPS system
Coordinate with the
family, community partners, the court, and Child Protective Services, to strengthen and provide support in order to reach sustained reunification and additional parenting plan/family
goals
Record quantitative
and qualitative data on an ongoing basis for use in reporting and for continuous quality improvement
Attend trainings,
meetings, and professional development opportunities associated with grant and programming requirements
Other duties as
assigned.
